Exhibition of works by Marceli Adamczyk. PROM KULTURY, Warsaw, ul. Brukselska 23, September 19–October 4, 2025.

We invite you to the opening of Marcel Adamczyk’s exhibition, which is part of the FRINGE Warsaw 2025 festival calendar. The festival aims to showcase the scale of the off-beat art scene, which goes beyond commercial and institutional frameworks. At the same time, this will be the third art exhibition co-organized by PROM KULTURY and Towarzystwo, and we see it as a good opportunity to slow down a bit and see what is beyond and around the exhibited objects. Both the artist in his works and the curator of the exhibition, Jakub Kosecki, in the text included in the exhibition catalog, draw attention to the sociological conditions in which the creative process takes place (and the heterogeneous factors involved in it, such as finances and materials).
Jakub Kosecki puts it this way: “Marceli Adamczyk transfers his painterly interest in solids into three-dimensional space, transforming his personal experience of working with his family. The artist draws attention to the structural aspect of his own work—to the conditions under which his practice itself is created. He refers to the factors that enable his own artistic work, the economic background that provides the material, and the family context that provides knowledge and opportunities to observe his parents’ artistic practice.”
This will therefore be an opportunity to reflect on the agency of a whole set of factors, or – to use a term derived from actor-network theory -network theory – the actors, both human and non-human, who in one way or another influenced the form of Marcel Adamczyk’s individual works, but also all the others that make up the inexhaustible global art collection.
The opening will take place at Prom Kultury in Saska Kępa in Warsaw, ul. Brukselska 23, on September 19 at 7:00 p.m.
