The POLONIKA National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad presented the results of the TWBK’s work at the Latin Cathedral in Lviv (Ukraine), carried out in 2024.

In its very first full year of existence (2022), the Association for the Support of Research and Conservation Initiatives launched activities aimed at preserving Poland’s tangible cultural heritage in Lviv in the best possible condition. As history would have it, this was also the first year of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is now the third anniversary of that attack. In the face of this, conservation work has taken on special significance and is being carried out under extraordinary circumstances. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Polish and Ukrainian conservation and technical teams carrying out this work for their perseverance and focus on the tasks at hand. This work would not have been possible without targeted grants from the POLONIKA National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad, awarded for the years 2022–2024 on the basis of applications submitted by TWBK. We invite you to follow the history of these projects on our website (click ‘older’) and to view the results of the conservation work carried out in the seminary chapel of the Latin Cathedral in Lviv in 2024, presented on the POLONIKA website:
